Do You Have H Pylori?

Are you suffering from reflux, diarrhea, constipation, stomach cramps, belching, bloating, nausea, shortness of breath, constant fatigue and depression?

  • Before you rush to take Gaviscon, Rennies, Nexium,Trustan or any of the acid blockers, please ask your Doctor to test you for H Pylori. Rule it out as soon as possible. You do not want to be on tablets that are masking more severe problems and causing brittle bones and other nasty side effects.
  • H Pylori is an opportunistic bacteria that is passed on with saliva. It is very common to see entire families test positive for it.
  • Dr H Marshall won the Nobel Prize in medicine in 2005 for his discovery that H Pylori was the cause of peptic ulcers and not caused by stress, spicy food and too much stomach acid.
  • H Pylori is incredibly adaptive and can survive the stomach’s harsh environment.
  • It produces and enzyme called “urease” which breaks down the urea in the stomach into carbon dioxide and ammonia. This causes burping, feeling of reflux and bad breath. It also neutralises the much needed acidifying effects of hydrochloric acid.
  • Hydrochloric acid is manufactured to create an acidic environment in the stomach to digest protein and ionise minerals. Many people with iron deficiencies lack HLC.
  • HCL also stimulates bile release from the gallbladder to metabolise fats in the small intestine. Without these key functions, people are at risk for anemia, leaky gut,  thyroid issues, B12 deficiencies, osteoporosis and auto immunity. It also increases the risk of developing food intolerances.
    • H Pylori, reduces the stomachs ability to produce mucous and irritates the stomach lining. This is the start of a stomach ulcer and even stomach cancer.
    • There are many people out there that are often asymptomatic and others that are being treated for good old reflux and have been put on PPI’s (proton pump inhibitors) for life. This masks the cause and the continuous damage goes undetected.
    • Testing can be done via a stool test (highly recommend. Speak to me about the specialised test), blood test, endoscopy and breath test.
